who would you take to Oprah??

Greetings all,
Just like that, the ticket window to register for tickets to Oprah has closed.  I was so excited at 10a.m. on Friday morning, desperate to get my name down to tickets for her 14th December Show at the Sydney Opera House, i jammed the laptop & my husband sent me to another room & had to do it for me!!  Then i got the magic words "you have successfully registered for tickets".  Into the lottery i go, i have everything crossed!!
So did you register for tickets??  Are you beside yourself waiting for an email in the next 24 hours to say you've got tickets??  Who did you put down as your guest??
For me the answers are a 'yes', a nail biting 'yes' & 'my gal pal Abi'!!
I have many 'best friends' which doesn't make sense & when i had to think about a bridesmaid, i gulped & felt it was like Sophie's Choice, who to choose (not including sister or sisters-in-law).  I have Melinda from PreSchool; Marianne from Primary School; Vanessa from High School; Imelda, Abigail, Tamzin from a part time jobs at Uni; Melissa my favourite Army wife in Canberra & Kelli my favourite Army wife of all time; Corrie from this blogworld (we giggle that we met on line) . . . then there are the gals from Handmade - i mean, i have shared so much with these girls too.  Special mention to allof  these ladies who i love & adore, especially Melinda who hasn't escaped my friendship for 32 years!!  FYI i didn't have any bridesmaids at our wedding, i chose a neice as a flower girl, see, didn't offend anyone.
So why Abi - from all these awesome girls & sisters in my life, from the moment i met in our teens, i just KNEW if i was to EVER go to an Oprah Show, it would be with her.  Abi even went so far as to have her first born on Oprah's birthday, just to out do me!!  We would fight over who knew more about Oprah, who is more devoted, but Abi would always win as she would remind me she was American/ West Indian!!
We have both put each other's names down as guests & are willing to the Oprah Gods that we are two of the luckiest gals/ mummies, friends in Australia, chosen to lay our eyes on Oprah in the flesh.  I have already had dreams I'm there on the Opera House forecourt screaming my lungs out.  So holding my breath for the next 24 hours, good luck to you all as well, love Posie
PS that shot of Oprah is just how i imagine she'd look at me saying "gosh Jennie tell me more . . ."
