a spot of shopping with my broken daughter

Greetings all,
Well it started off an ordinary day . . .
 freshly squeezed orange juice & pancakes (large & small) . . .
Ok, well ordinary in by my household standards . . .
seriously, does he still have to wear food aged 7??
Until thump . . . my middle girl who can trip over her own feet from a standing start & get a concussion . . . tripped over in the hallway & thumped her chinny chin chin on the door frame.
Oh yes, it's a beauty, no wonder she had a headache & sore jaw.
So we dropped the big sister, twin sister & little brother at school, & hit the shops.
Thought these cute bags would be great for an Easter Egg Hunt & Scandinavian stamps for some fun card making.
Picked up this calendar half price, to chop up & make into tags in the school holidays.
Oh look at these super pretty lights, seriously Typo do them so well & inexpensive.
Aren't they just lovely, i got them for the high schooler.
Kikki-K is 10 years old, this is their HUGE booklet to celebrate.

If you rush into Typo - they have these aprons for $10 with any purchase, so yes, i will Keep Calm & Cook On thanks.  I picked up the Best Ever Brownie Mix from The Curious Chocolatier at Shop Handmade today, can't wait to make them.  My husband makes incredible brownies (i think it's a Saturday Disney recipe) but couldn't resist Heidi's blend.  I'm baking anyway for another cup cake fund raiser for Japan at primary school, mmmm.
So donk your chin on a door frame & enjoy a day shopping with mummy - that's how we roll.  She's feeling much better now, just a bit tender.  Love Posie

Nothing like a touch of retail therapy to cheer someone up. Well, it wouldn't be my hubby's choice but hey, what would he know! Heck of a bruise :(

Oh poor little thing that really looks sore . Now I'm sorry but when your boy looks as cute as that he can wear anything he wants , even food !

Ha ha, you all see my problem with trying to discipline my son, he looks JUST like my husband (dimples included) & is too cute to get annoyed at. His sisters on the other hand will chant "punish him" but cue those dimples & i'm pathetic. Love you guys, thanks for the comments, love Posie

Ouch! Retail therapy works for me too. Boys, never stop playing with their food in my experiences.

Oh the poor possum. Lucky she didn't need stitches, or maybe that would have meant two days with mum :)

Ouch! I hope the retail therapy helped. I like the look of sympathy she's getting from her sister. x

YOUCH! Poor poppet. If that was me, chances are I'd find every other possible way to cop a 'doink' on the chin - it's an unfortunate bruise upon bruise upon bruise thing I have going...

Ohhhh ouch! Poor little poppet, that would have killed :o( SO lucky no stitches required... or worse still, no teeth damaged! You're such a sweet, caring Mummy Posie.
I LOVE that pic of your little man, isn't he just scrumptious... much like the pancake he is modelling really. What a fab sense of humour for a wee tot.

Is there nothing better than retail therapy for female ailments. I think not!!
Hope your little munchkin is all healed soon.

How lucky she was not to break her teeth or bite her tongue! Yeouch, poor thing.

MY mum wouldn't have taken me shopping. She would have made me stay on the couch watching the Midday Show (going to school was preferable as I recall).

I wont let my kids see your post, they will want you to adopt them.

What a brilliant idea with the calendar. Especially as they do all end up on sale as the year goes on!
A bit of retail therapy is a great way to cheer up - especially if it's one on one time with Mum! :) x
