my creative space 'last minute market preparations'

Greetings all,
So the massive Handmade Market is on this Saturday in Canberra, even better, e x t e n d e d   hours to 7p.m.!!  They get 10 000 people attend in searing heat in a Woolshed down a dusty dirt road, 12 000 people to freezing cold markets with potential sleet in a Winery . . . nothing stops the love for Handmade, which proudly turned 2 last week!!  I know, only 2 years & it just grows & gets better!!  A Shop opened it's doors in the heart of Canberra this Easter & da dah, an amazing book . . . to be released in 2 days.  So dizzy that i'm involved in all 3 aspects, from their inceptions, dreams, ideas.
Last chance to win a copy of Handmade Living, a sewing craft kit & $150 worth of fabric here
!!  Follow & leave a comment, simple, drawn tomorrow morning, good luck!!  Stay tuned too, next week there are 10 copies of IKEA's new book Beloved Homes to win too!!
So what do i do 48 hours out from show time . . .
Thea & Sami sent me 5kg of remnants, oh my joy, these larger pieces are being made into pouches.  Just in case of rain i'm opting for a smaller stall with smaller products to make best use of my covered marquee position & table space.  So it's back to tried & tested favourites.  I plan to sew for 16-18 hours today, already done 3 hours!!  Thanks Thea, i love these fabrics, they arrived just in time!!  Wait until you see the brooches i've done . . .
Yes my lounge needs a shampoo & condition + the floors could do with a steam.  Anyway, i'm tossing freshly cut fabrics from the spacious kitchen counter into waiting baskets to then transfer into different baskets for Euro/ Babushka/ Christmas/ Children's themes.
Some repairs to baskets & jars are required, oh no, a big crack which i hadn't noticed until my eagle eyed husband said "this is smashed".  I know when, i plonked it down a little too hard after last weekend's Mathilda's when i came home sick.  Same time i smashed the lantern.
What, is that blue sky trying to break through??  Please??!!
So i'm home alone, handsome soldier took the children to school, but not before i ran down the street in a nightie with ONE school lunch left behind!!  Good morning neighbours.  I'm also stuck as soldier boy put on a load of washing which included ALL my bras, clearly he thought the neat stack to be put in my drawer were dirty.  So short of ducking out in a bikini top or sports bra, i'll stay in my jammies until one is dry, so then i can trip out to replace the jar & lantern i smashed.  In the mean time, sewing/ packaging/ packing mania here!!
For less flighty creative spaces, check out Kootoyoo!!  Love Posie

Hope your washing dries quickly! :) I'm having to hang all mine inside. Sydney is forecast for rain till mid next week. Blerk. (I have a simmilar bra issue this morning - only I just plain ran out of nursing bras!)
Are you going to give us some more close up's of what you are up to before the weekend? I'd love to see what you are making!
Enjoy your day! :)

Would love to go in the draw Handmade Living book - it's on my CHristmas list! And laughed at your bra story. We've got a similar situation here this morning. Not pretty, but no neighbour-displays happening. Good grief. Better find one before the Year 7 graduation mass this morning!
