Welcome to the Ready Set Grover Wii Game GIVEAWAY with a furry Grover control cover, yay!! 

 As you know, i'm all about health & fitness for my children, keeping them active & energised, not 'plugged in' to gadgets.  The one electronic gaming console we do have in our household is a Wii (Ok, it came free with our lounge television) but it's always fun & keeps them jumping about, or at the very least, waving their arms.  You should see my 4 play tennis doubles!! 

 My son was sent Ready Set Grover to test drive, it's aimed at preschoolers to promote healthy habits like nutrition, hygiene, rest & relaxation - still valid for 7 year olds!!  He waved his Wii control magic from the lounge after a particularly exhausting weekend.  The game makes you do exercise & it tells you all about healthy choices, with a handy little booklet too.  It even includes Toothbrush Time, hello!!

 While i have your attention . . . we've been collecting the Ninjago Lego. Lego + Ninjas = awesome in my children's world!!  I picked some up at the local toy shop's 30% off sale.  Look at their faces, we have the complete set now (there are many more scary figurines).

 Better yet, One Green Bean sent me an advanced copy of the Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu DVD last month, it's a spin off from the Lego, brilliant!!  Lego + Ninja + Animation = totally awesome.

The official word: "Universal Pictures release LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu . . . follows the story of four apprentices who must master the art of Spinjitzu: an ancient and powerful martial art where a ninja moves so fast his actions turn into a tornado.  The young apprentices must also master the elemental powers of Lightening, Earth, Ice and Fire in order to defeat the evil Lord Garmadon and his skeleton army . . . things i'm loving . . . 'finding fun'

Greetings all,
Can you believe my husband has been in Afghanistan for a month already??!!  I'm finding plenty of fun ways to keep busy, happy, distracted & positive . . . i do have tears as well, i'm not made of stone, i'm just very well practised in this routine of solo parenting 4 children while my husband is away at war.  Thanks for your support bloggers!!  One amazing blogger Cherry Red Quilter has gathered her troup of seamstresses to sew laundry bags for our troops, thanks Jan-Maree, you're a doll!!

I have always found sewing projects = avoid boredom.  A young lady ordered a lllloooonnnngggg pencil roll in Babushka fabrics from the last Handmade Market.  I delivered!!  

 Like the pencil & texta combination to fill the 16 pockets??

 First week of term 4, my primary school children have a new 'focus of inquiry' . . . 'outer space'.  This is not my forte & i wish my i-can-navigate-by-the-stars husband was around.  He might also ace camping, but i totally nailed glamping!!  Anyway, i can make some fun bunting & hand flags for Team Gravity.  I'm the teacher's pet-parent!!

 meanwhile i'm busy at the post office, this is my 4th parcel to handsome soldier.  This random box includes a diary, wind up kangaroo, moisturiser, soft-thick-luxurious-daddy-toilet-paper, a little softie & some meusli bars. 

 Finally, still losing myself in the Dottie Angel book, she's a fellow Babushka fan.  I've added more Russian Nesting Doll goodness to my collection this week too.

I hope you enjoyed the little tour around my head this week, Things I'm Loving is finding fun in my world.  Those who know me will be shocked i'm reading so much, it's the sunshine & my new slow down attitude.

happy 30th birthday pacman

Greetings all,
Anyone else having a PacMan flash back??  So i guess PacMan & Space Invaders for me in the 80's is what Wii is to my children today.  It's their 30th birthday today, no doubt you noticed the awesome Google header today.  I'm off to sew while my son plays PacMan on my laptop!!

Play HERE & bring back the happy sounds of miss-spent youth, as PacMan chomps away or comes to his demise.  To me it's the sounds of my big brothers, who were already Uni students when i was 5 in 1980 & would have mega parties with PacMan-a-thons.  I do remember getting such a high score it went back to zero, oh well, we all turned out to be excellent at sports, maths & science plus really outdoorsy & creative??!!Oh the Atari, i miss you, love that retro styling.  Love Posie
