I LOVE agaves! In out last house i bought one that was about a foot tall and about the same wide. We planted it out in our front garden and boy did it grow - by the time we sold the house it was about a meter and a half tall and wide - beautiful - and the new owners pulled it out and replaced it with a nondescript tree - really no accounting for taste!

Gorgeous I need to grow some of these again had to leave them in my last house as I was moving from Brisbane to Mackay (12 hour drive) if I wanted to take any of my plants I had to get a special licence & I had no time left when I found out so all my plants had new homes.
Need to seriously stock up again, I think if I was your friend Posie I would have paid of my Myer card too hee.

They are cute, aren't they? We recently found a few baby staghorns growing on the side of one of our jacarandas and were thrilled and amazed at their tininess.

Thanks ladies, i blew $5 on a new rectangle pot & $4 on soil & replanted all the mummies so they can spread out (aiming for enormous agaves in the future, you've set the bar high ladies) & the babies can flourish where they are. Love Posie
