things i'm loving . . . 'green milk glass'

Greetings all,
It's OK to covet another's china right??
When i got the lastest Donna Hay newsletter, i spied the gorgeous milk glass assortment of cups, bowls, cake pedestals . . . & forwarded it to my gal pal Tania saying "i wish".  She excitedly replied . . . "i recently purchased the pitcher & matching glasses in green" & i was green-milk-glassed with envy.
So when i boasted i was heading to the Donna Hay General Store in Sydney on the weekend, Tania wondered (politely begged) if i'd 'traffic' her the extra large pedestal cake plate, home.  Always happy to be a Sydney-Canberra designer goods 'mule' for my friends, so i picked one up . . . with the baby pedestal as a gift + the 10th anniversary edition Donna Hay magazine, just because.  As i explained to the delightful sales assistant, i was living vicariously through my friend's green milk glass collection, i realised she was wrapping them up as beautiful gifts with blue tissue, twine & smiles.
Things I'm Loving on Friday with Paisley Jade is milk glass, i'll have to start on my own collection, soon, maybe in pink, or green, um, both??  Love Posie

I'm having green milk glass envy too. I have an old little sunbeam mixmaster bowl in green milk glass. Never seen any since the day I op shopped it about 8 years ago.

You know it's love when someone trafficks green milk glass for you. Love you, Posie. Now I have a mummy trophy - I mean, cake stand - and a baby to match! Generous to the end. xxx

You were very restrained not to buy any of the lovely stuff for yourself! I think you should start your own collection. Hope you are keeping well. x Sharon

Oooh, that's so pretty! I'm impressed at your willpower for not starting your own collection then and there!

That is lovely but not as lovely as you - you could have started your collection but you bought something for a friend instead - selfless, kind, generous - beautiful!

Milk glass ... mmmmm .... The beauty of moving back to Sydney is that I can visit the Donna Hay shop any time I please. Another bonus is that my daughter has taken up the mantle of Magazine Queen from me and I have the latest Donna Hay magazine on loan - although I think I really need my own copy.
