My Creative Space 'handmade jumble'

Greetings all,
Welcome to this week's Creative Space as hosted every Thursday by Kirsty at Kootoyoo.  Mine is a big busy jumble & mish mash of things on the go this week, with children doing silly things!!  So bare with me . . . i've been flat out sewing for Shop Handmade which is opening next week, planning a school P&C Cross Country BBQ & Mother's Day Stall, plus the trip to Sydney for Easter!!
My big boy needed a new laundry bag for 'camp'.  Funnily enough, he was the only soldier who turned up to war with a pink & yellow striped laundry bag & it 'broke'.  Hmmmm . . . maybe this is more his butch style, but doubt it will be as easy to find after laundry day!!
The Easter Bunny really did come on Sunday.  My 4 children were so excited & couldn't wait to tell their grandparents.  My father, who is not a fan of the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus for that matter, was thrilled to tell them Sydney's North Shore was over run with rabbits & they all need shooting.  Um, nice one Dad!!
Take a look at my middle daughter, she looks innocent enough, doesn't she??  Can you imagine she started a stone & seed throwing contest (aimed towards our car!!) with siblings & cousins in Bowral??!!
Now this, her twin sister, innocent??  Never!!  Just as my eldest brother (host of Easter Sunday in Sydney) asked if my children were safe playing by the pool . . . in one went.  Clearly we were busy eating this amazing platter of delights instead!!  No, we were watching, we watched her go right in!!
So after a week like that . . . i'm exhausted, emotional, missing my husband & desperate for the school holidays to start on Friday afternoon.  I drove home today with every intention of cooking a lovely quiche with salad, which soon downgraded to Spanish omlettes, but ended up as scrambled eggs with smoked ham & spinach, grainy bread & me being terribly distracted by the latest Country Road catalogue which came in today's mail.  Maybe i should have read Donna Hay's latest magazine with 50 Fast Dinners instead??  Love Posie

Oh the stone throwing contest! Your post brings back memories as a child when one Christmas day there was a knock at the front door and a very angry man began explaining to my father 'someone' had been throwing stones at his luxury car. No stones on this property my father replied, only to discover later my younger brother and his partner in crime (my cousin) had been delighting and seeking much enjoyment from throwing red plums at the passing traffic! Once my father found out they were banished to indoors for the rest of the afternoon.
Kids will be kids, funny how they are all the same in so many ways :)
With Dad on afternoon shift today, we also enjoyed some scrambled eggs and bacon. Followed by a lovely fruit salad. Doesn't matter it was night time, still healthy x

Glad to see third daughter is still as clumsy as ever! And I hope to see the new brand of camouflage laundry bags on the website soon, personalised no less.

Just think though, you start holidays, we end them. I know which one I would rather be doing ...

Start them, of course!

You are on busy chickie.....it makes me tired just reading what you do. At this stage I have only been up an hour and I want to go back to bed after reading that:)

Sounds like you've had a week and a half!! School goes back on Tuesday here, honestly, you would never believe we all live in the same country would you? Time to link it together maybe (sorry, it's my bandwagon at the moment)..
You have to watch out for those 'innocent' looks, they're not all that they seem!! My baby (32 now) can still look like butter wouldn't melt, but trust me, we always knew he'd burnt the butter!!! LOL!
Love the laundry bag, strange about the 'breakage' hey ;o)
Have a relaxing school hols..

I'm sorry Jennie, but your posts always leave me feeling exhausted! Loving the camouflaged bag though... now your son won't hate you!

Are you bothering to count the 300 (?!) nights away this year? Or just taking it on the chin? Will it ever improve?
