Greetings all,
Yesterday i trotted off to Floriade with a picnic, some girlfriends & our iPhones.
Oh the tulips, over a million of them . . .
in every colour imaginable.
Of course in bright sunlight - i couldn't see a thing i was aiming the screen at.
So a lovely surprise to this bounty of colour downloaded tonight.
There were displays & patterns of colours . . .
& tulips planted at different times for a layered effect.
Practising taking photos of flowers with light behind them, i.e. shooting into the sun.
We approached this frame with excitement, however, the plain black . . . underwhelming. Imagine if it was an ornate frame, reclaimed vintage or even a plastic moulded faux ornate vintage looking frame . . . oh well, the tulips stole the show for me. Love Posie

ReplyDeleteI think they've had all kinds of frames over the years, at Floriade, as I recall. Our kids have grown up, but we have videos for years of successive Floriade outings..and I enjoyed every one of them. Flowers planted en masse never go out of fashion for me. You've taken some beautiful pictures Jennie..thank you for bringing Floriade to me this year!
ReplyDeleteJust stunning, Jennie. Thanks so much for the virtual tour. J x

ReplyDeleteAhhhhh, I love tulips too. They were my wedding flower. How amazing. If only it weren't so humid in Queensland! Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteOohhhh, I love Floriade, it is wonderful, and it is free! I flew from Perth one year to go to Floriade with my step-daughter-in-law. If I lived in Canberra, I would go every year, several times!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful. Tulips are such cheery flowers and en masse, they are SO vibrant. Sounds like a great outing x
ReplyDeleteA great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.
