Posie is run by Jennie McClelland, a former pharmacologist now housewife, married to a soldier & mother of 4 children aged 8 to 13.  Posie swtiched careers to design & worked from a home studio while raising children in 2001.  She has lived in Darwin, Sydney, Brisbane & Canberra.  Her blog is articulate, positive & colourful, written with honesty, passion & integrity.  Posie writes about her smart, sporty & social children; designing & craft; beautiful things which catch her eye; plus events & sponsored promotional posts, often with giveaways. 

Posie’s work has been published in a variety of craft books & dozens of glossy magazines.  While her children were younger, she produced a wholesale range of products which was stocked in over 50 stores around the world. 

Posie Patchwork ‘the blog’ has a dedicated following of fashionable mums & designers alike, who consistently support her creative pursuits & down to earth parenting style.  The blog has a unique & engaging style, generously sharing tips on running a small business & finding a family life balance.

You won’t find posts with negative, religious, alcoholic or swearing content at Posie.  She has thoroughly enjoyed raising her children, mostly on her own as her ‘handsome soldier’ is constantly away in war zones or interstate, yet the blog continues to inspire people to find the best in life.

Shortly the entire family will be moving from the suburbs of Canberra, to a large farm for a simple & wholesome life with animals (as pets & dinner) + space for the children to run free.  Posie will continue as a happy housewife & to sew, however, less commercially - preferring to dedicate more time to charitable pursuits & farm life, not to mention navigating 4 children through high school & the exciting teenage years.
