just because . . .

EDIT: my post-of-the-month with Gifts of Serendipity!!
Greetings all,
Oh we're having so much fun with our chickety chicks . . .
enough said really - what a lovley way to wrap up the last week of school holidays - thunder clouds outside, Winter chill in the air, $2 Monday new release DVD hire, big bowls of homemade soup, hyper happy children raising chicks indoors . . . & inside dolls' houses!!
Now excuse me for a hiccup in transmission while i set up my new computer & practise being smug (a big delivery from Apple is imminent) with seamless technology.  I've never used Apple before, all that swiping & those weird icons, i'll be out in the IT wilderness for a while.  I had to giggle, last week the charger arrived via courier, sans computer, so i enthusiastically plugged it in & cleared space on the 'group desk', ready for the big ticket items.  Just hope the thunder clouds hold off while i construct the chicken coop too!!
My thoughts are with all the families who celebrate & remember loved ones on ANZAC Day.  It's a low key affair for us this year, we'll just attend the school ceremonies when school resumes, going to the War Memorial . . . when my husband is at war . . . too heartbreaking.
Have lovely weeks everyone, love Posie
PS just let out my first tweet ever, the photo subject was too perfect.  You can follow me on Twitter (i'm @posietweets) - this little chick just went global-mass-social-media-saturation (yep, Facebook too) giggles bok bok bok.

Oh my, these are so precious!! I missed your last Post so didn't realise you got Hamburgs. You know I love this breed. So our babies will look like these cutie pies I guess - how gorgeous! I always find ANZAC day quite sombre with my 94 year old grandfather still involved in the March in Sydney. Will be thinking of you and your handsome soldier. Mel xx

We got an Apple a couple of years ago. The one thing I really noticed was that I needed to think more simply, rather than like a computer. Keep that in mind. We now have apple everything by the way. Probably addicted really.

We went apple for the family computer at Christmas because they pretty much work all the time without any problems, I have put parallel on mine so that I can run my quilting software and my hubby can use the windows version of excel for work, which is the only time it is a bit problematic but it is nothing I need techno help for.

My thoughts are with you during ANZAC day. I understand the low key approach - having your love in Afganistan is not easy. Take care.

Do love the photo of the chick in the dolls house. We had numerous rodents (hamsters, guinea pigs etc) all of whom were put in the Barbie car or the Playmobile doll house. Love to humanize the critters though I am not sure what they think of it. That chick looks pretty content though...

One you've got a Mac...you never go back!

I hope you are knitting wee jumpers on toothpicks for those chickies to wear in a Canberra winter. :)

A terrific addition to the POTM Club Jennie - thank you!

What a fabulous start [and so appropriate] to Tweeting.
Seems like you have a fine balance between all the simple comforts and the good things that technology can provide.

Said a blessing and prayer for all in your home on ANZAC day when we attended the dawn service.

Big hugs, xx
